Organizations and professional systems can also experience forms of soul loss when their founding Spirit is no longer embodied.

Seeking Empowerment and Purpose at Work

Retrieving Spirit in an organization to regain Soulful alignment in the workplace

Combining systemic approaches

Claire is a Research Project Manager in Mountain Ecosystems.
Here she shares the systemic work she's done  on her professional situation, using both the Shamanic Approach to Therapy SAT and object-based constellation work.

In the SAT work, the practitioner calls upon a higher point of view able to perceive the whole system and its underlying dynamics. This expanded level of consciousness is called the HR, or Healing Referent.

The HR can identify and bring in the missing natural resource field from the web of life into the system, where it is activated by the practitioner to support healing and restore coherence. Read more about this approach

Context

"I work in a public organization, the French Office for Biodiversity (OFB), whose mission is to protect life. My research projects and field observations — carried out with all the inhabitants of the mountains, human beings, fauna, and flora — focused on the effects of pollution and the destruction of natural habitats. However, my findings were not taken into account in hierarchical and political decision-making. Gradually, I no longer recognized myself in my missions. I felt useless, displaced, belonging nowhere within the organization.

I was not the only one in this situation. During national seminars in previous years, no one really wanted to be there; lack of connection, loss of meaning and recognition, absence of leadership… all of this seriously called into question the very purpose of the organization.

I then decided to carry out a healing on the situation, by representing the different elements involved through a constellation.

I set my intention: I am whole in my power as a woman, and I radiate it within my professional environment.

I placed objects on the floor representing:

  • Myself, Claire, a field researcher, with my Soul and my intention
  • The research projects
  • My colleagues
  • The unit manager (decision-maker)
  • The Spirit of the Place – the Earth where the enterprize is working
  • Nature Ally Resources in order to support me in this work

Observation of the system from the expanded vision of the Healing Referent

The scan of the system immediately reveals :

  • a tear, a leakage at the very heart of the system.
  • there is no connection between the head and the bottom of the system.
  • all elements are disconnected from one another
  • no breathing with my colleagues
  • no connection with the Earth, no circulation of life; a generalized loss of connection.

I then ask the Healing Referent for help. It illuminates the entire field and brings in a healing Resource: the Spirit of Trust in Life, a liquid flow capable of restoring connection with Life. I infuse It into the etheric field of the situation to connect and nourish the entire system. As I represent this Resource Spirit symbolically in the constellation, I perceive it surrounding the whole constellation, recreating a coherent outline aligned with life. By contrast, a central void becomes clearly visible. This reveals the missing link to the Soul of the system: the Spirit of the Organization.
The Healing Referent then directly illuminates the spiritual body of the system — which is uninhabited. This is due to the loss of connection with the Spirit of the Organization. The HR shows that nothing can truly move forward as long as this Spirit of OFB is not included. It is the missing center at the heart of the system, just as the Soul is for a human being.

I then place the Spirit of the Organization into the constellation, adding a symbol representing it, and instantly… everything unlocks. I realize that forgetting this central Spirit — the bearer of meaning and life for the organization — generated the tear in the heart of the system, a true organizational Soul loss.

I then look at this Spirit, I recognize it. Then, nourished by the Spirit of Trust connecting to Life, new connections start to weave among all the elements of the organization and the center. Everyone now turns toward the Spirit of the Organization, seen in its rightful dimension. The system regains its vital breathing, flowing through all its energy fields.

The Spirit of the Organization recovers its power: once recognized, it in turn sees each individual — down to their Soul. It sees me, and I see It. It recognizes my rightful place and what I bring, my Soul, my talents and my Medicine: the force to nourish and protect life against those who do not respect it, which I had recovered during Soul Retrieval.

This recognition gives me strength and a sense of importance. I no longer need to desperately wait for recognition from others: it comes directly from the Spirit of the Organization, in connection with my Soul. All this is possible because I finally acknowledge the existence of this Spirit — one that, until then, did not exist for me.

What I am meant to do becomes clear, and nothing can prevent it, because I am supported. What I am not meant to do is now taken care of by the Spirit of the OFB and I no longer need to try to replace It within the organization. By recognizing the Spirit of the Organization and staying connected to It, I feel with complete clarity the meaning of my presence within the organization, aligned with my values and my way of acting. In doing so, I stop waiting for others to recognize me.

Concrete changes

The change is immediate and profound. I feel calmer, more centered, more attentive. I am no longer ashamed to listen to my intuition, to refuse certain missions, or to propose new ones.

Following the healing, I represented the Spirit of the Organization using stones that I placed around the office. I kept one stone with me in order to remain connected to this Spirit during work meetings.

Collective effects

That year, during the national seminar, I brought the representation of the Spirit of the Organization with me to keep the connection alive. Everything unfolded differently: I felt in my rightful place, able to bring forward meaningful contributions. The interactions were more lively and open. And for the first time, there was genuine recognition from the department director, who was present to listen to us. Unlike previous years, I wasn’t exhausted when I returned from the seminar.

Claire’s experience shows that when the Spirit of a system is restored, individual alignment and collective coherence naturally follow.
